An Investment in Eternity
How then can man be in the right before God? -Job 25:4
Few questions could be more important. Job asks, “How then can man be in the right before God?” (Job 25:4). The answer to that question has eternal consequences.
We spend much of our lives investing our time in things that matter—our families, our work, our homes, our health, and our future. These are good and necessary concerns. But there is an investment that reaches beyond this life into eternity: time spent in the Word of God.
The Family Worship Bible Guide (Reformation Heritage Books, 2016, p. 319) puts it this way:
“The most important question in all the world for a man to consider is, how can a man be right with God? The book of Job, as well as the entire Bible, is devoted to answering the question of a man's standing before God. Time spent in God’s Word, therefore, becomes an investment in eternity.”
That conviction is at the heart of what we do at Bridge Ministries.
We believe people need more than encouragement or good advice. They need to know God as He has revealed Himself in His Word. They need to understand who God is, who we are as sinners, what Christ has accomplished for us, and how sinners can be reconciled to a holy God.
And the wonderful answer of Scripture is the gospel.
We cannot make ourselves right with God through our morality, religious activity, or good intentions. We are made right with Him through Jesus Christ. Christ lived the righteous life we have failed to live, bore the judgment our sins deserve, and rose victorious from the grave. Those who repent and trust in Him are forgiven, clothed in His righteousness, and received as children of God.
This is why Bibles matter. Christian books matter. Bible studies matter. Discipleship matters. Faithful biblical teaching matters.
Every Bible placed into someone's hands is an invitation to hear God's voice in His written Word. Every gospel-centered book can help someone understand that Word more clearly. Every Bible study is an opportunity to sit together under Scripture and ask, What has God said? Every discipleship relationship is an opportunity to help someone know Christ and then equip that person to help someone else know Him.
Whether we are providing an affordable Bible in our bookstore, donating Christian resources, sitting across the table from someone with an open Bible, teaching a class, equipping a pastor, or sending theological resources into Mexico, the goal is ultimately the same:
We want people to know God through Jesus Christ which means knowing Him through His Word.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for long-lasting fruit from both the men's and women's studies, that they would result in a new generation of men and women who will raise children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4).
- Please also pray for all the people who are getting their first Bible and reading it, that their study of God's Word would bear fruit: thirty, sixty or a hundredfold (Matt. 13:23).
- Please prayerfully consider supporting us financially; your monthly support of even $20 or $30 has a huge impact.
